Basant Panchami Celebration At Kids’ Pride School

Basant Panchami is one of the most popular spring festivals of India, celebrated across different parts of the country with fun and fervor. The festival, celebrated on the fifth day of the month of Magh (between January and February), marks the end of the winter season and welcomes the arrival of the spring season.

“Basant Panchmi” is an occasion that marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This day was celebrated in our school with great fervor and enthusiasm. Yellow color – representative of spiritual knowledge, is given importance on Basant Panchami.

The children of Kids’ Pride School came dressed in yellow clothes, offered yellow-colored flowers to the Goddess and also brought yellow colored food in their tiffins. The dress code of the teachers on that day was also yellow.

The celebrations commenced with the Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and prosperous life. This was followed by a dance on the song – ‘He Sharde Maa’ and a group action song – ‘Aaya Basant’.

The Principal of the school Mrs. USHA LODHA motivated the students to be progressive learners, setting big goals and putting dedicated efforts as a promising & flourishing human harvest.
