The Road Safety Week is a national event that is celebrated from the 11th to the 17th of January, which is aimed at raising public awareness about traffic rules and to reduce the number of road accidents that occur daily.
Though the day is celebrated by the government, it is also celebrated by several educational and private institutions who organize and provide support for the Road Safety Week campaign.
STUDENTS OF KIDS’ PRIDE SCHOOL THE BEST KIDS SCHOOL IN JAIPUR MADE AN ATTEMPT TO CREATE AWARENESS BY SENSITIZING STUDENTS TOWARDS THE IMPORTANCE OF SAFETY WHILE DRIVING AND WALKING ON THE ROADS BY CELEBRATING ROAD SAFETY WEEK.
THE PROGRAM WAS INITIATED BY OUR DIRECTOR MRS. USHA LODHA WHO ADDRESSED THE STUDENTS DISCUSSING THEIR ROLE IN FOLLOWING ROAD SAFETY RULES. IT WAS FOLLOWED BY NUMEROUS ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED IN SCHOOL. THE STUDENTS DISCUSSED ISSUES OF RASH DRIVING, DRUNKEN DRIVING, ROAD RAGE WITH SPECIAL MENTION ABOUT MINOR DRIVING. THEY ALSO DISCUSSED THE IMMEDIATE CAUSES AND TRAUMATIC EFFECTS OF IMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR OF THE PEOPLE ON ROADS.
THE IMPORTANCE OF OBEYING RULES WHILE TRAVELLING ON THE ROADS AND THE RULES FOR THE PEDESTRIANS WERE ALSO HIGHLIGHTED. THE AIM OF THESE ACTIVITIES WAS TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT PEOPLE AND THEIR LIVES AND NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED. STUDENTS WERE SENSITIZED TO THE ISSUE OF ROAD SAFETY to MAKE THEM RESPONSIBLE ROAD USERS.
“Number of deaths because of road accidents are increasing at a fast rate in India. Our children who are the future of the nation, are passionate about reiterating the importance of following road safety rules putting them across strongly to the people around them. We are happy to initiate this drive”, said Mrs. Usha Lodha, Director of the best play school in Jaipur.
THE SAFETY WEEK INSPIRED STUDENTS TO ACT RESPONSIBLY ON THE ROAD AND MAKE INDIAN ROADS THE SAFEST IN THE WORLD.
